MyPath can be deconstructed into three modules - the 1) Data Collection module which collects vibrational data, the 2) Machine Learning module that identifies the surface type, and the 3) Routing module that generates personalized accessible routes.
The three modules are integrated together to develop a seamless App that can provide accessible navigational assistance to wheelchair users in the day-to-day activities. The aim of the project is to cover accessibility in three project sites located in/near Miami University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
